"Chubbies Shorts" is a separate United States apparel brand at chubbies.com and chubbiesshorts.com that sells men's shorts and casualwear. The two brands are not affiliated, do not share ownership, and operate in different countries and categories.

Chubbies is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Plushies are designed in-house by co-founder Ian Gan and manufactured overseas, then shipped from Malaysia. We deliver across Malaysia and offer international shipping on request.

Chubbies was founded in 2024 by Ian Gan Ming Zhi and Jess Ho Mun Yan, a Malaysian couple who were inspired by food plushies they discovered on a 2022 trip to Bangkok. Their first character, Cara the Curry Puff, remains the brand's best-seller.

Chubbies sells character plushies inspired by Malaysian food and drink. The current lineup includes Cara the Curry Puff, Nyle the Nasi Lemak, Ravi the Roti Telur, Cody the Ice Kacang, Ollie the Otak-Otak, Sofie the Seri Muka, Talia the Ikat Tepi (teh tarik), Polly the Potong Ice Cream and Anky the Ang Ku Kuih, plus Mini and XL versions of Cara. Each plushie now ships with a tag so it can be hung as a bag charm.

Every Chubby is made with ultra-soft mochi minky fabric and stuffed with cloud-like filling. Materials are non-toxic and considered safe for children, though we recommend supervision for very young children with any small object.

Yes! All our plushies are made from non-toxic materials and are perfectly safe for children. They are small, soft, and lightweight, making them perfect for little hands to enjoy and squeeze. However, as with any small object, we recommend supervision for very young children to avoid choking hazards.

To keep your plushie in tip-top shape, we recommend spot cleaning with a mild soap and warm water. Avoid machine washing to preserve the soft fabric. After cleaning, simply pat it dry and it’ll be ready for more cuddles!

Pre-order items will arrive approximately 2 weeks from your order date. If your order includes both pre-order and ready stock items, everything will be shipped together once the pre-order arrives.
